Each month a nutritious menu is generated and catered by locally owned restaurants, that provide zabiha/halal meat, to allow students to purchase lunch from school. The lunch program is operated as follows:
1. Providing Lunch – It is the parent’s responsibility to provide their child with a lunch from home or a lunch ticket to purchase lunch from the Academy.
2. Purchase of Tickets – Parents should buy tickets for the lunch in advance at the front desk or from the financial administrator. Tickets may be bought on a day-to-day basis at the cost of $5.00 per ticket. On a day when bringing cash is necessitated students should purchase their ticket before class. To avoid being counted tardy students should arrive early.
3. Sack Lunch – Students may bring a sack lunch from home as long as it does not require heating or refrigeration.
4. No Lunch – If a student does not have a lunch or means to purchase a lunch they will be referred to the front desk and documentation will be made of the need for a lunch. A charge of $5 will be applied and the child will receive that day’s menu item.
